Would I be crazy if I got my whole body tested for cancer after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer?

My thyroid cancer has spread to 4 lymph nodes in the lower central area of my neck(below my thyroid). I don't think I have any other type of cancer just because of my thyroid cancer, but melanoma, ovarian and cancer runs in my family(not even thyroid cancer). Would I sound too crazy if I asked to get tested for other types of cancer?

I shaved my head about a week ago and I was wondering how can I take care of it for healthy out comes?

I'm Ethiopian and I had a very soft and very thick hair. I have broken many combs over it. About nine years ago a colorox got in the middle of my head when I was trying to reach it on the top shelf in the laundary, you know the one you use for your clothing. I was young and I dindn't know so I didnt washed my hair after a week although my head was burning me like crazy. My hair in the middle shrink and became much rougher than the rest of my hair b/c that is where the colorox got dumped. I just decided to shave it off b/c is was so uneven and my hair in the middle had a whole diffrent texture and length. All of my family and friends was against it my hair is like an Indian hair if it wasn't damaged. Now I'm just wondering how I can treat my bald head for a better. I wear a wig unless I'm outside of my house and I always wash my hair. I also live in Boulder, Colorado which is a diffrent environment than Ethiopia so it might have an impact on my hair.

Bullied about weight? Need help!?

So I'm 15. Currently on summer before Sopre year. I have some issues... mainly involving my self esteem. I know it sounds weird because I have self confidence, like I'm outgoing with my friends and dance team and stuff like that but when it comes to guys and new friends, that's a whole other story. I was bullied constantly from 3rd grade until today about my weight. No I'm not fat, in fact, I'm the opposite. I'm super skinny. The boys would always say "here comes the walking stick" or "she's anorexic" (I'm not, don't worry). At first I would go home and cry to my mum and she would try her best to comfort me but the pain still hurt like knives in my gut. Through middle school I acted like it didn't bother me, the bullying or remarks about my skinniness. But its just something I have always been self conscious about and people just keep pointing it out. Within the last month a guy whispered to my friend, "Feed Olivia" and then I cracked. I can't take all these remarks from people, especially boys, the ones who I am trying to build relationships with, friendships and romance. I seriously don't know how much more of this I can take. I have always been naturally skinny and I just broke 100 lbs. a couple of months ago. My question is how can I heal my wounds from childhood and teenage years from the bullying and become more comfortable with myself? DO NOT SAY I'M LUCKY FOR BEING SKINNY. I understand girls and boys starve themselves and do awful things to be like me but I have been through too much to want to stay like this.

became friends with this guy blake back in december. We became really good friends and pretty close. We eventually began to like eachother alot as more than friends. We had alot of amazing times together and the way he viewed things and just life in general had such a big impact on me. I have a 97 honda accord special edition with a 2.2l sohc. It is not a vtec. My problem is that my radiator will not keep water and my car will overheat. I am fairly certain my radiator is not leaking, because there are never any puddles underneath. I can only get about an hours drive before having to refil the radiator. I do belive that the water is being burnt through my motor, but my oil is relatively at the same level and hasn't changed color much or texture. When I open the oil cap after driving, a small bit of white smoke does rise, which I ume is water, but there isn't anything coming from my tailpipe indicating the later. I was thinking it may be a blown head gasket. Does anyone have some better insight as to what it may be? Im somewhat mechanically inclined but a head gasket is a bit complex. An estimation on how much a shop fix would cost would be amazing as well.

hey, i just bought a Apple Macbook Air the other day and i started using imovie so i imported my pictures and etc. then imported my MP3 song in the background. When I rendered the video and it was done, I played it and the audio quality didn't sound as good as the MP3 itself. does iMovie ruin quality of songs? i double clicked the song and turned up the volume a little bit, then rendered it again but didn't do much....what should I do? i wan't the audio quality in the video to be the same as the MP3 itself....any steps?

I actually gave advice similar to this to my sister. I am a junior in college and recently transferred to another school. My sister is an incoming freshman and wanted to go to a school that costs $20,000 a year. I told her that she should just go to a state school where the tuition is $6,000 a year. It saves A LOT of future debt. Also, I have been in the same boat with hating a school. I ABSOLUTELY HATED the university I just transferred from. I mean, complete HATE. I told myself, for my sake, I need to go to another school. I really think that you should just transfer to another 4 year university. I wouldn't take the community college route. Most people do that if they fail out of university or lost their financial aid. It would look better on your transcripts if you just transferred to another 4 year institution, also you don't want to take the risk that all your credits may not transfer. Though they should transfer, if the school has high admittance standards, you don't want to take the risk. It would look better on you if you transferred from Howard, than if you transferred from a community college. Also, medical school is HIGHLY SELECTIVE, and it may not look good if they see a community college on your records. They may think that you couldn't handle a university at one point, and had to go to the easier community school. They won't know your personal reasons for doing it, they'll just know what they see on paper. I would just sugguest you enroll in another university, it'll look better in the long run. Good luck!!!

My two year old struggles to sleep... "(?

Ever since she was born my two year old has struggled to sleep, as a baby until about 8 months she refused naps throughout the day and would fall asleep about 8pm ish. It never helped that as a baby her dad would let her sleep in our bed and now hes left us thats left me with the during the night toddles through to my bed from her. Shes now 29 months and does sleep throughout the day for about an hour, but my issue is for some reason she is hating going to bed... she cries and cries and screams and gets in and out of bed, i sit next to her bed reading a magazine not talking to her so im there but not interacting, and it will take me a good hour or so to battle her to sleep. ive tried reading a story, leaving her alone, soft music, more light, less light, new bedding, singing to her, simply ignoring her (other than to put her back into bed) and its like she has a pure fear of her bed. She shares her room with her 7month old sister so naturally wakes her up with all the fuss meaning she cries as shes so tired. My eldest is very sensitive, if people leave the house she cries and im not sure if shes started what seems like a fear of bed because she knows im leaving her when shes asleep. It works similar to this; half 7/8 she gets sleepy, take her to bed, after all the screaming and crying its about 9/10 before im back downstairs, shes up between 5/6am. The problem is when i was pregnant with my second i had severe SPD and struggled alone so some nights when i was in so much pain i couldnt take my eldest back to her bed to sleep and she had the luxury of staying in mummys bed. Im not sure whether to cut her nap during the day out which tends to be about 11ish, or to simply force her each night to bed, or to let her fall asleep downstairs with me and then take her up to avoid all the upset... im at a lose end now being alone to figure this out after my ex introduced the bad habits. Shes very very energetic, she wont sit for long at an activity and is very flitty so winding down with colouring probably wouldnt work. My concern for cutting naps is,that when shes not had a nap before she gets stupid tired between 4/5 and she has to sleep sometimes and then wakes up about 6/7 and then its ridiculous the time shes ready for bed. Her little sister is a beautiful little sleeper,but in 29 months shes had three different homes, three different beds so i know it must be hard. Its just gone from her getting tired, me taking her to bed at about 8ish, within 10 minutes shes sound asleep (this wwas only about 3 months ago) to this.... help! Haha. Sorry to ramble on its just im only 20, their dad left us when i was 12 weeks pregnant with my youngest, im studying a uni degree, so i feel like im losing the plot sometimes with how difficult her sleeping is x

I'm not sure exactly when this happened, but for 2 days now i've had this horrible sensation of something being stuck in the back of my throat. I took a dive into editing textures using nifskope, and GIMP. When i applied the new colors into gimp and saved as a different name of the original DDS. file, i then went into nifskope and changed the color of an animal with my texture. Ever since updating to 1.6.6, I cannot play on any multiplayer servers due to extreme lag. It has a very long delay, and eventually crashes with an error. I've updated my drivers, reinstalled it twice, no mods or texture packs and I am wondering how to fix this. I'm in a minority, as everyone else on the server is fine. Also, when I try to set up my own server on 1.6.6 that map doesnt load and its constant falling. Somebody connected to the server from my router on a diff account and it was fine for them, so I really dont know what to do.

My mother is really over bearing. I'm 19, and my boyfriend lives an hour away. They're too short and he might.."(What, he's going to finger me as I'm walking? Sounds...difficult...and how...?? Never mind..) She doesn't trust me one bit, even though she has every reason to. There are SO MANY people with mixed opinions and reviews about the Mane n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner. People do say that its SPECIFICALLY for horses, but on the Mane n Tail website, and on the back of the bottles, it does clearly state "human use". I noticed it also says "animal use", but its not JUST for animals. Some people say it makes their hair longer and shinier, other people say it makes their hair thin and fall out. Now I read reviews that are 1-2 years old, so I don't know if they "improved" their shampoo and conditioner to better meet the complaints over time. I have curly hair that can get dry easily but when I used the shampoo and conditioner it made my hair feel ALOT better than it usually does. Not that dry, brittle feeling, but it made it feel like a smooth texture. My hair still frizzed when it dried, but I put some coconut product in and that's all taken care of. Running half marathon on Saturday and just got my period?????? PLEASE help!!!?

Hey guys! :) I am 15 and in two days am running a half marathon. The WORST possible scenario is for me to get my period, and today I started seeing little drops of blood in my panties :( The last time I had my period, it was SO heavy that I was bleeding through like 7 maxi pads a day, and I was throwing up and everything (fevering, etc). It was probably the worst, most painful 11 days of my life (AND my periods last forEVER!) If this is what is going to happen for the next couple days, there is NO way I will be able to run this half marathon! I have already paid 50 dollars for everything, and have been so excited, and I am going to cry if I am miserable because of my stupid old period that day!! Plus, if I DO have my period, what am I going to do on race day?? I tried my first tampon last period, and I am still not comfortable with them at all, so that's not really an option, and then wearing a HUGE maxi pad for four hours (while running and sweating and everything) does NOT sound too fun at ALL! Windows crashing on start-up (Steam)?

Recently, I downloaded Steam for my dual-booted Mac. I was playing a free game, America's Army 3, and when I entered the first game, a blue circle filled the center of the screen, and the game froze. When I went to restart the computer (using Windows Partition), it would go to a dark gray screen, and it sounded like nothing was running, such as fan or processor. Next time, I was given the option to run start up repair, and it says "Windows is locating files", the bar graph fills, then it goes to the same blank screen. Fortunately, I can access my windows hard drive using my mac, so if needed, I can delete certain/all files ociated with Steam. If you can help, please add detailed instructions. I am good with computers, but not good enough to really fill in the blanks when my hard drive is on the line.

Why are my dreams so vivid?

Every night my dreams seem to come more real and real. I can hear,smell,taste etc.. I can feel textures and experience emotions. The people and the places in my dreams are so clear and sometimes its hard to distinguish whats real and whats a dream. I just dont understand how this is possible. Ive heard alot of people talk about they usually cant remember dreams and if they do most of everything is grey. As soon as I wake up I can remember exactly what had happened in my dreams. I remember dreams from when I was a child being just as vivid. Ill give one example, I was standing in a gry field but the sky was kind of a grayish black. I look down and see a tombstone with no name and then I look of to the right and see a huge but dead oak tree. When the crow stepped out onto my hand it licked each finger individually just one time and then looked up at me and my dream stopped. My entire life I have had very very curly hair, literally small ringlets, baby fine too, not at all. I used to straighten it every now and then but about six months ago I started keeping it straight, 24/7 for three months straight. One day I decided to stop, and noticed after washing my hair that it was nowhere near the texture it had once been,and I have not straightened it at all for three months now it seems to be straight/wavy permanently. I have never ever had even one strand of hair naturally straight in my entire life, so I'm confused... I understand I obviously did something permanently but I have no idea if it will grow out or... also I did use products while I kept it straight but just straightening leave in and heat protecting spray. How do I get audio back on my computer?

You have to re enable the audio service. Viruses can be very pesky. Go to control panel then go to administrative options. Next to to services after you go to services and then find the audio service. If this does not fix the problem you have to re download the audio codecs.
