Whats a good anime with fighting and powers no swords main character male..?

Similar to Yu Yu Hakusho but with an Inuyasha touch of romance...No swords! No Mecca! Just a guy fighting to get stronger with powers..maybe transformations..training..I have seen Naruto..DBZ..and things of that nature..all suggestions are welcome
