Is this normal discharge?

I have very white vaginal discharge. However it isn't always like that. It varies in color and texture just like everyone else but I am concerned because it's white instead of clear or off-white. I don't think it's a yeast infection because it's not too thick and isn't cottage cheese looking. I do start my period tomorrow so maybe that's why? And I noticed it right after I had . Is this normal even though it's white??
