Atheists : how do you feel about HG wells' idea on getting rid of religion?

That's stupid. Without religion we'd be like sheep without the herder. Wandering around doing what we feel like till we are eaten by wolves or fall of a cliff or die of hunger or whatever. You get the point. Those who find it convenient to brush religion to the side so they can fulfill their own selfish and worldly desires can do what they like. But the believers know that their beliefs are what keep them going. It may be a surprise for the defiantly disobedient, but we believers have no intention of joining you people. We love our religion, and we won't be persuaded to think otherwise. And on more thing, it is impossible to erase religion. God will protect his religion till the end of time. Even if you had a world without a religion, you'll quickly find people turning to a higher power in order to understand their problems and solve them. It's either religion, or chaos.
